End User License Agreement (EULA)
If you download RouteWhiz through Apple channels, your use of the app is also subject to the Apple Standard End User License Agreement available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. These Terms of Service apply in addition to that EULA.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using RouteWhiz, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Description of the Service
RouteWhiz is a travel planning platform that may include, among other things:
- trip creation, route optimization, mapping, directions, and destination planning tools;
- AI-assisted travel planning, chat, trip checks, route insights, themed itineraries, hidden gems, travel phrases, and city information tools;
- shared trip planning, collaboration, social travel features, public route discovery, and friend or profile interactions;
- travel budgeting, expense tracking, reservations, offline trip access, travel files, passport-style travel history, and scratch map features; and
- free and paid subscription tiers with different access levels, limits, or feature bundles.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
3.1 Registration
- You must provide accurate information and keep your account details reasonably up to date.
- You may access RouteWhiz using supported sign-in methods, including email-based access and certain third-party identity providers such as Apple or Google.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use RouteWhiz.
3.2 Account Security
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and account credentials.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account unless caused by our breach of security obligations.
- You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
4. Your Content and Permissions
4.1 Ownership
- You retain ownership of the trips, notes, files, routes, profile content, and other material you submit to RouteWhiz.
- You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, adapt, and display that content as needed to operate, secure, improve, and provide the service to you and the people you choose to share with.
4.2 Sharing and Visibility
- If you invite collaborators to a trip, those collaborators may view or edit trip content according to their permissions.
- If you choose to make routes, profile elements, passport data, scratch map data, or other travel content public or friends-only, that information may be visible to others according to the settings you selected.
- You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload or share any content, including travel documents or information about other travelers.
4.3 Prohibited Content and Conduct
You agree not to:
- violate any applicable law or regulation;
- upload content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, abusive, or invasive of another person's privacy;
- misuse another person's travel documents, reservation data, or personal information;
- reverse engineer, interfere with, probe, scrape, or abuse the service or related infrastructure;
- use bots or automation in a way that overloads or harms the service;
- abuse AI features, including attempts to generate unlawful, dangerous, fraudulent, or manipulative outputs; or
- circumvent usage limits, access controls, subscription restrictions, or feature gates.
5. AI-Powered Features
5.1 AI Functionality
RouteWhiz may offer AI-assisted tools for planning and travel assistance. These tools may use your prompts, trip context, preferences, and related planning data to generate outputs.
5.2 Consent and Use
- Certain AI features require your explicit consent before they can be used.
- If you revoke that consent, AI features that depend on it may stop working until consent is restored.
- AI-generated content is provided for convenience and inspiration, not as guaranteed factual, professional, legal, medical, or safety advice.
5.3 AI Limitations
- AI outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable for your circumstances.
- You must independently review important travel information, including safety issues, opening hours, transportation details, reservation terms, pricing, and local restrictions.
- We are not responsible for decisions you make solely on the basis of AI-generated content.
6. Subscriptions, Purchases, and Paid Features
6.1 Free and Paid Access
RouteWhiz may offer free and paid access levels. Feature availability, limits, usage allowances, and bundled benefits may differ by plan, platform, promotion, country, or release and are presented in the app at the time of purchase or use.
6.2 Billing
- Paid subscriptions and in-app purchases are billed through the relevant app marketplace or payment channel offered in the app.
- Subscription terms, renewal periods, pricing, taxes, trials, introductory offers, and promotional discounts are shown during checkout or in your store account.
- Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
6.3 Cancellation and Refunds
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions through the store or billing platform used for the purchase.
- Refunds, if any, are governed by the rules of the payment platform and any mandatory rights under applicable law.
- We may change, add, or remove features, limits, or subscription packaging over time.
7. Collaboration, Social Features, and Public Content
- Trip collaboration and social features are optional, but if you use them, you are responsible for what you share and with whom you share it.
- Friend features, profile visibility, route discovery, passport sharing, and scratch map visibility may depend on your settings, subscription level, or relationship status with another user.
- If another user blocks you or you block another user, some profile or social features may no longer be available between those accounts.
8. Third-Party Services and Content
RouteWhiz depends on third-party services and public data sources for some functionality, including hosting, authentication, payments, maps, travel content, notifications, analytics, diagnostics, and AI processing.
- Some features may rely on providers such as Supabase, OpenAI, Google, Apple, RevenueCat, Mixpanel, Sentry, Expo, Open-Meteo, Wikipedia/Wikimedia, OpenStreetMap-based services, Photon, Nominatim, or Unsplash.
- Third-party content, maps, photos, data quality, or service uptime may change without notice and are not fully under our control.
- Your use of third-party services may also be subject to those providers' own terms and policies.
9. Availability, Accuracy, and Travel Risk
- We aim to keep RouteWhiz available and useful, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
- Route suggestions, maps, local insights, weather context, reservations, and AI outputs may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate.
- You remain responsible for real-world travel decisions, including transportation safety, budget decisions, document handling, and compliance with local laws.
- Do not rely on RouteWhiz as your sole source for emergency, safety-critical, legal, immigration, or medical decisions.
10. Privacy
Your use of RouteWhiz is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and share information.
11. Suspension and Termination
- You may stop using RouteWhiz and delete your account at any time.
- We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, misused the service, created risk for other users, or exposed RouteWhiz to legal or operational harm.
- Termination does not limit rights or obligations that, by their nature, should survive termination.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROUTEWHIZ IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages;
- we are not liable for losses caused by third-party providers, travel vendors, connectivity failures, public data sources, or decisions you make using the app;
- our aggregate liability for claims arising out of or related to RouteWhiz will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim arose or the minimum amount required by applicable law.
14. Changes to These Terms
- We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect product, legal, or operational changes.
- When we update them, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above.
- Your continued use of RouteWhiz after the updated Terms take effect means the updated Terms apply to your future use of the service.
